Original, with a regional touch and hearty - that's how we describe the cuisine at Hotel Sonnschein. Skilfully and over many generations, we combine Tyrolean and Austrian cuisine classics with imaginative creations. To make this successful, we secure the best ingredients from the Wildschönau and the region:

- Milk is primarily sourced from our farms

Hiking
In the Wildschönau you find over 300 km of hiking trails that offer numerous opportunities to explore the surrounding mountains. Gentle grassy mountains, forest trails and alpine pasture hikes are characteristics of this area. Find the right hiking route, explore the Kitzbüheler Alps and enjoy the views from heights of up to 2300 meters above sea level.
Mountain biking
Take the opportunity to rent a bike and get to know the Wildschönau from a different angle. Explore multiple comfortable and easy, but also challenging tours and discover a unique mountain experience. For all leisurely cyclists there is also the possibility to experience the mountains in a relaxed way by renting an e-bike.
SKIING IN THE WILSCHÖNAU
The Markbachjochbahn & the Schatzbergbahn are a wonderful skiing area for families, beginners but also advanced skiers will get their money's worth here. Families feel particularly at home here: good childcare and a range of slopes that meets all requirements. Thanks to the merger with the Alpbachtal ski area, the range of slopes is large and yet comparatively stress-free.
